Harvest and Aging:

The grapes are hand-picked in the middle of September, alcohol-fermented in wooden tanks, malolactic-fermented, oak-aged in French barrels, stabilized, bottled, bottle-aged.

Winemaker's Notes:

An estate red wine aged in French barrels, Merlot de Pucari contains an optimal concentration of tannins; therefore the wine is full-bodied, with a deep ruby colour that has a soft palate with notes of oak, wild blackberries and prunes. Merlot de Purcari benefits from a long, elegant finish.


Merlot de Purcari is perfect to serve with red meat dishes such as venison, lamb and roast veal, and spicy dishes. It also pairs well with cheeses like Roquefort, Gorgonzola, and Stilton. We recommend you enjoy the aromas and taste of this wine at a temperature of 18C.
